My response to fawriters2.0 December 2014 prompt.
It contains two things I dislike most and one thing I like most about the Advent and Christmas seasons.
Things I dislike: wanton consumerism; the loss of and the hardness of heart toward the True meaning of Christmas in this age of materialism
Thing I like: Holiness and Salvation that have come when the spiritual Godhead fused Himself forevermore with the material creation in the person of Jesus, the Christ.
You will also find a nod to John the Baptist, who I greatly admire, and a reminder that though Christmas is a time of celebration of joy and peace, it is also a time of watching, for the first Christmas also determined the foundation of Justice on which all Judgment rests.
It should be read in a lingering, languid kind of way, though switching to a brighter tone when the color changes adds an interesting twist.
I wouldn't mind working one or two more drafts, but doubt I'll get to it, so here it is. If you have trouble with the handwriting or reading cursive (some schools don't even teach it anymore!), comment and I'll provide a transcription.
