Amara Lemur CG Character rig
About 90% completed, this is the closest I've come to a successful fully functional character rig in Maya. Five failures and Six do-overs later, it still has problems. UV mapping and textures ended up as good as I can make it and for some reason the rotation axis markers on the ankle cannot be turned off, lucky those don't show up on renders.

I can't say anything about your rigging from just images. But, I'm not really a rigger of yet, I've only done some limited and a bit into the advanced rigging courses. On modeling standpoint though, are you going for a stylized approach to his appearance? A images showing off the Topology would be great, other modelers/riggers/animators would be able tell you if you got issues on the model that need to be adjusted or if it's good to go.
That exactly what I've been using. This tutorial series specificly. http://www.digitaltutors.com/tutorial/1396-Introduction-to-Character-Rigging-in-Maya and http://www.digitaltutors.com/tutorial/321-Character-Rigging-for-Production-in-Maya just leaving parts out I don't need (like MEL script and coding) and filling that blanks they don't teach, like the tail.
Also, I am going for a stylized look similar to every 2D version of the character. There are some details that I've missed out on adding, like the fur extensions on the sides of his head. Also don't plan on adding realistic fur since my computer can not render fur correctly.
