This picture was originally done for the Dallas Brawl for a special summer issue. As you can see, both Alex and Atalanta are at the beach, wearing swimsuits, with Atalanta asking Alex to put some lotion on her body. And the swimsuit that Atalanta is wearing is an actual swimsuit design from the early '90s which I thought she would actually wear to the beach.

If it's a toony setting, it could tan like normal skin like any WB sight gag.
For more realistic settings, I've seen IRL fur and hair bleach out a bit in the sun. Even black seem to burn out to russet or auburn highlights on the side most facing the sun over days of lounging about. ^_^
