[Previously on DA - check it out :)]
This was originally a kids cross-stitch kit, easily available from Wilkinson for 50p, allowing children to learn the wonders of this craft by designing a frog.
However, with my good grid and hand-copying skills plus understanding what limitations of wool I had, I managed to convert a current image of GGE given to me as gift art into cross-stitch...and with a small amount of purple wool that I don't know what to do with. Note the excellent use of the black wool for backstitching, which the kit's instructions did not offer.
I found this challenge pretty entertaining, but what made it more of a task was that I planned a 19x19 image on paper, when in fact I had a 38x38 surface >.< Meant that I had to convert the whole thing into a listing of run-length encoding for myself to understand better.
