Even if you're just starting out in an MMO, you still need to exercise caution. Meeting a squirrel in the back of a tavern and taking him on as your partner? Probably not the best idea for a lvl. 1 adventurer. You never know who could be lurking back there, waiting for someone to blithely wander in and think that anybody the game put out to choose from is a -safe- option..
But hey, at least 1st-level adventurers make an easy snack! :3
