SPOILERS! SPOILERS!
After playing and completing (not 100% just yet.) Dragon Age Inquisition, I've decided to drop Surreptitious Friends since it technically doesn't fit the narrative of Inquisition and how things would work in the story.
So I'm taking the time I was giving myself for Surreptitious Friends and putting it into a new comic, again based on Leliana since that is what the first comic was going to be. Remember these are going to be spoilers for those who haven't played Inquisition and would like not to be spoiled.
-SP-
Leliana has endured so much in the past 10 years. More then she would like to admit. Trying to steel herself to it all. But no one can withstand all of it, and be alone, have no one to talk to.
Losing friends and loved ones to what she now sees as a ruthless and unkind world. One that doesn’t need or perhaps never needed kindness or heart. Sooner or later everyone breaks down. Why even try when the world reciprocates cruelty.
The only thing you can do is fight fire, with fire. She is losing what she once was.
Inquisitor Kurt Trevelyan is a lover of adventure stories and history. He has read “The Tale of the Champion” countless times. So having so many individuals who were witnesses and even participants in actual history of Thedas as friends he wouldn’t pass up the chance to get raw first hand accounts of these tales.
He decides one late night to approach Leliana about telling her story to him. She had denied him of them earlier at Haven and other times but perhaps with the events of what happened to him and the Inquisition at the assault of Adamant Fortress she would maybe explain what the Divine told him to tell her.
He didn’t expect his stoic, unflinching spymaster to be crying at her desk in the rookery. He had to help, perhaps reminiscing on good memories could help? It always did for him so he’ll try.
