This one was tough, it took 2 tries to get it right but I think it was worth the effort.
Also, finding a reference for a Cleyran maiden costume was a stroke of luck.
I have so much more to learn about painting...

Oh goodness... this is simply beautiful. You made top notch effort to detail on the part of Freya (My favorite character from FFIX because of her personality and that she was a Dragoon), her clothing spot on and her expression also staying like she more than likely would be reacting anyhow.
The other gal is very original, lots of effort put in and I can tell there is only one source of light! Something difficult for some artist to achieve because of angling, shading and so on.
I know you weren't probably expecting a 'Critique' of any form, but I couldn't help myself due to FFIX and the Cleyran Race being my favorites in the series. I kinda always hoped they'd make a return one day... one can hope but again: This was simply beautiful.

Of course, I actually made myself a Cleyran Dragoon back in the day when I was playing the FFRPG. Was some good times jumping around and doing what Freya does best.
But as I hadn't mentioned it before, you've also a great concept of drawing the hands and feet (one of the more difficult portions for artists to create), I do have a small wish that artists would give Freya and other Cleyran's some show again. If not for the beauty of their people, but for the athleticism and how mysterious they seem to exhibit.
