This started as a fleeting idea a year and a half ago... and dozens of sleepless nights later, I feel like it has finally reached completion. My PS acquaintance is unfortunately rooted in graphic design, so [at the risk of inducing wincing] the file is an absurd 372 layers of mixed layer styles, motion blur, vector objects (the mountains and snow particularly) and lots and lots of shading! I am definitely looking to improve.

The more I think of it, the more it reminds me of the beginning of Frost's "Out, Out—":

"...And from there those that lifted eyes could count
Five mountain ranges one behind the other
Under the sunset far into Vermont..."
