So... I've heard people bitching left and right about landscapes for a LONG time and I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. SO! I did what any normal human being would do and did some research!
My plan was to do a basic Landscape in 20 minutes. I have no previous training, my art ability is total crap unless I spend hours upon hours upon hours just trying to get the basic sketch done right ((When I do decide to draw)) and in all honesty, I AM NOT AN ARTIST!
What this is, was me looking up a few easy as hell ways of drawing a Landscape, and seeing what I could pump out in 20 minutes. To prove that these concepts can be used with multiple mediums, I did the SAME THING, with the most ghetto ass crayons I could find. That is for the next picture though.
I do not present this picture to say how great an artist I am, nor do I want to say that anyone who cannot currently do this is a bad artist. I wanted to see how hard a Landscape was, and I did that.
Bob Ross said it perfectly. "This is your own little world. You make of it what you want. There are no mistakes in your world, only happy accidents"
Those of you who want to learn something REALLY useful about making easy, and beautiful landscapes should go watch some of his episodes. He uses special oil paints that he designed, but the basic techniques can be used elsewhere.
Art is not impossible. Just gotta know where to look to learn.
