Been seeing these cropping up so I figured I'd do mine, even though I'll have new stuff coming up before the year's out.
January: Another Cooking With Houkuko
This was actually the only thing I posted in January this year, so... But it's one of my favorite recipes, so I'm not too upset.
February: Everything is cool when you're part of a team!
I like this one a lot cuz it was like, sorta a solidification of my goofy human style.
March: Alluringming fashion sheet
I think this was the first of a series I did for Ming, and the first time I really tried to do high detail and variation. I'm overall proud of how these came out.
April: WE HAVE THE POWER (with censors, so all the kiddies can see)
I liked this cuz it was just goofy.
May: BAMP
I think this one is kinda sentimental. It was the first time in a long time I lined without worrying too much about how clean it was. I'd been lining so long with vectors or constant editing and making it look super smooth. But I let it flow this time and ended up falling in love with freestyle lining all over again.
June: Hou's Clothes
This I loved because of how long it took, and now personal it was.
July: Go for a walk? (censored)
I think this one is just really good quality. I settled on my preferred "professional" shading style, after trying many that just didn't work for me, and this is what I like.
August: Taned-hero fashion sheet
I like this one mainly because of how detailed the plug suit is.
September: Delicate Balance (censored)
Nice and clean and simple.
October: GG pg 9
It feels a little cheap saying a comic page is my favorite for this month, but I'm overall really happy with it. I feel like my expression work had gotten better, and the detail of the scene was really successful.
November: ABSOLUTELY MUFFIN!
December: Moo
This is kinda my "full circle" moment, I think. That loose style that was really expressive and I feel is actually a little therapeutic.
This year overall was painfully sparse, and I'm really sorry about that, guys. It's been a tough year. I can always tell my state of mind by how ready I am to draw. When I'm in a good way the drawings come freely and frequently. When I'm in a bad way I can't draw to save my life, no motivation or satisfaction. There were a lot of long dry spells. I'm really hoping things pick up in 2015.
