Father figure
I guess that's one of the reasons why I compare my art and can never feel good about it.
It's also why I hate school so much. I have to compete, be as good as others because...
It's because of him that I'm shy, don't dare to talk to people. It's because of him that I'm such a perfectionist. I can't be happy for the things I do, I need the word of others for the things that I do and when those are positive I believe of them to be lies.

I know it's a little weird to +fav something like this, but it feels like a very honest piece of work.
Not only that, but I appreciate the composition here, and how you simultaneously make him seem 20 feet tall in panel one (as a father would seem to a young child), yet normal sized in panel two. Yet despite that there's no jarring juxtaposition, it feels natural, something we wouldn't even notice.
It's good, raw art that comes from a place of pain.
