I guess it's because of the vast background of them that helps build the larger appeal of them.

Looks really cool. I was wondering when there will be an update of the avali mod for starbound. Especially since the next stable build of starbound is announced for january and I am pretty sure it will be played again by a lot more people when the new game content is released for the stable build.

That's part of what's gotten my attention back as I'll need to work on updating the mod. Though it's looking like a huge task for questionable gains. Starbound hasn't turned out the way it was advertised at all and isn't exactly a good platform for the mod.

In that case, are you planning on releasing Avalis for anything else? If so, anything in particular?

I don't. The "ideal" environment for them, would be like something like Second Life; if Second Life didn't suck a huge dick :p (Both proverbially, and in some some sims, literally). I'm keeping an eye on the talk of a "new" second life being in the works however.

Having been in SL for years. SL2 will either be Vaporware, or absolutely horrible terribad. LL loves to make poor changes then try to force it to be accepted anyways, if they do anything at all.

(Still, Ryuu-sourced Avali in SL are so much yesplz)

I'm curious, I've seen a lot of back and forth about Starbound not being the way it was first announced to be, but I've had a lot of trouble finding anything in particular that details what was originally going to be in the game, and what seemingly isn't now. Could you elaborate on the difference between what was advertised and what it appears Starbound is going for now?

I'm glad to see something being finally uploaded. I love your Avali, and this time you made them even more badass. And as you said, as menacing as they might look, i'd rather hug them than fear them. Great job as always.

Also known as the Awesomevali. I'm not sure if you were winging it, but when it comes to puns, sometimes they just flock to you, making it easy to pack up for later.

They don't look dangerous, but give them a VB-XLS2 Dire Shard and I'd run.

I suppose they start to look pretty imposing even if you're rather big when 4 or 5 of them jump off of a cliff on top of you with spears

Any 3 foot tall race is going to have difficulty looking menacing, and no amount of badass armour or OP weaponry will change that.

The size ref sketch on the in progress drawings is easily the funniest thing ive seen all week, its bad enough that the poor guy is simply dwarfed when standing next to a space marine, but thats an Angry Marine, any sane being with more than 2 functioning brain cells, would be terrified to meet one of those frothing lunatics up close.

Now bud, you only have a spear, you have no hope of taking down a tank with that.
