"What do stars do? They shine."
~~~
The last year has been spent catching up with..myself mostly and all the things I have had sitting on the backburner. This piece is actually even older than that, probably closer to a year and a half old. I came across it today while resorting files and something struck me and I decided to finish it.
I chose to title it Stardust for several reasons, most of them being really fairly sentimental. But also, I do see eyes as being so grand and endless in their depth..so I suppose they are a bit like outer space..
Onto specs.
Tools: Photoshop cs3, tablet pen
Time Taken: ? I wouldn't even try to guess
Size: 6000x4400 pixels at 250 dpi
Prints: yes, sans watermark
Alright I'll stop spamming ya guys now. Figured since FA was back, I might as well actually post something! Gosh, so many things to still catch up on..some that Im soooo dreadfully behind on I feel like an awful person about them. Wellp no use whining and best to just catchup and make it up to those patient folks.
This is absolutely adorable. It reminds me of my cat Friday when he is irritated or sleepy.
The way you used such a massive lightsource from behind looks absolutely fantastic and dives the character into light and gives the painting so much depth. I love the vast amount of detail you have put into this painting.
The variety of colour is stunning. Your artwork is so enchanting.
So incredibly cute that it is hard to find words to describe it. The background looks great too but does not distract from the cute kitty in there. Great job on the lighting and the furdetails again. The eyes are really special here too. I totally like the way you did them:D
