The snow was still falling down, as the backyard was ripe with activity, Marvy and Zanny crouched behind a snow covered bush. Opposite them was Devi and Alex, hiding behind a large tree. Marvy was tossing snowballs like a machine, pelting the tree, and occasionally the arm or leg of the other two Sergals. Devi was making rather lame underhand throws, landing far short of the bush that Marvy and Zanny were hiding behind. Zanny held a large pile of snow in her hands, compacted together.
“Charge!” Marvy cried out, breaking out of cover as she kept tossing snowballs at the two men, scooping up more as she runs towards them. Zanny charged as well, but slower, holding the large pile of snow as she trotted towards the tree. Devi kept tossing at them, actually landing a few hits on Marvy, but it didn't seem to stop her. Then Alex leapt into action, diving out and on to the snow, grabbing snowballs and tossing them right into Marvy's chest, each throw hitting it's mark. Once Marvy was close enough, her entire front chest covered in snow, she leaped and tackled Devi to the ground. Zanny did the same, in her own awkward way, managing to trip and dropping the pile of snow on top of Alex, as she collapsed on the snow in front of him.“We win!” Marvy cried out, slowly standing up as she shook the snow off of herself, Devi following suit.
“No way, you got hit way more then we did mom!” Alex called out, getting up and shaking the snow he had on him on top of Zanny.
“So, want to start another match? But the guys get the bush this time!” Devi asked. Marvy nodded a bit, walking to the tree as she got behind it. Alex and Devi both got to the bush, ducking down as they started to make a pile of snowballs.
“Come on Zanny, let's show them pussy power!” Marvy said, snickering at herself. Zanny didn't respond, instead, she continued to lay there face down in the snow, not making the slightest move. “Come on Zan, get up!” Marvy called out, but the Nevrean continued to not respond. Concerned, Marvy walked over to Zanny, picking her up, to see a very cold and shivering Nevrean.
“I think it's time to warm up.” Devi said, walking up to Marvy as they both supported Zanny as they dragged her inside, Alex following behind. The group was hit with a fresh blast of warm air as they walked into the living-room. The fireplace was already burning, filling the room with a welcome warmth.
“Hey, Noodle, we got a Nevrean down who needs some warmth, actually, I think we all need some warmth.” Devi said, addressing the large fuzzy Eastern dragon coiled up in front of the fire. The dragon slowly stirred from it's nap, looking at the group with a large smile. Slowly, the dragon uncoiled, sliding around them as it drew them into her grasp, pulling them up next to the fire as the dragon laid it's head back down.
“Thanks Noodle.” Marvy purred, feeling the combined warmth of the two other Sergals, the large and warm dragon, and the fireplace. With all of that, Zanny quickly stopped shivering, peeping softly as she turned and kissed the dragon.
“Yeah, thanks Noodle, it felt like I was gonna freeze to death out there.” Zanny said, the dragon leaning in and nuzzling Zanny in response.”
“Well, I'm hungry, I'm gonna go find someone to eat.” Marvy said, getting up.
“Dammit mom, we were almost a normal family for a moment!” Alex cried out, which was met with the dragon grabbing Marvy and putting her back in, curling all the way around them.
“Okay Noodle, cuddles first.” Marvy said quietly, nuzzling up against Devi in the wraps of the dragon.
