The theme for Wild Nights 2014 is "Gears Through the Years", which I loosely interpret as mechanical prehistoric beasts.
Here we have a mid-century racing model, the Smilodon, being demo'ed by a friendly wrangler. As you can see, it lacks the heavy iron plating common to earlier gladiatorial models, and has an open chassis, sacrificing protection to minimize weight and allow more fluid motion, but hasn't yet developed the sleek look of non-combative later hound and hare editions.
