A commisionary comic for
egoequus for his office, where plastic cups are used once and throw away.
Something I think about a lot, the life of plastic things such as bags and chinese food containers and such. Their entire existence is to contain a thing and move from a store to a house, usually about 10 minutes away from each other, and then they are thrown out and basically NEVER leave the earth! They are made for a use that is such a tiny percentage of their life!
We at Scurrow Enterprise encourage use of reusable bags at supermarkets, no bags if possible, and reusable containers. We, at Scurrow Enterprises, care about the environment and the future of our planet Earth.
Finally, we here at Scurrow Inc do not consider it "pussy" or "Faggish", or even "WHIMSY GOAT SHIT" to care about the environment. Please join us as we strive for a better, brighter tomorrow.

My town recently outlawed plastic bags at most stores. I'm so sick of hearing people saying shit like "Can you believe now we have to pay 10 cents for a paper bag?! It's paper bag socialism! THANKS OBAMA." So I'm just like "uh, so use a reusable bag" and they're all like "But it gets all gross when I put milk in it! THANKS OBAMA." Also, everyone I know is a conservative straw man. Like, they're literally made out of straw and they stand next to yellow roads made out of bricks and wait for people to come along and take them to see wizards.
worst part is a lot of this shit collects with the ocean currents and melts in the sun, becoming twisted and breaking apart, making it much easier for various wildlife to ingest. also its collected to about a giant wad of plastic shit inbetween california and china, about the size of texas. thanks obama.
but of course i don't think outlawing them or putting taxes is going to work and recycling is a fucking joke (durr lets melt and pour more chemicals into it thereby using more clean water to create an inferior product that uses more resources to exist in a new form).
really the only way its ever going to change is lack of market intervention from the state, and more repourpusing of old materials. i never have any more water bottles, i just clean out an old soda bottle, rip the label off and use that instead. if i lose it what the fuck do i care the country i live in shits out about 6 million a day globally.

Yup. I worry about disposable plastic bags, cups, and coffee-maker parts too. The plastic cups & bags are only used to transport articles for a scant short time. Now for a thought that may drive ya insane. The plastic is made from petroleum that our western con·ven·ience crazed society buys mainly from umh- lets just say - politically uncorrect governments. Not to mention the obvious impact to the enviroyadayadayada. Y'all are paying for your burials, guys.
*steps down from my soap box* Sorry. The comic is however very amuzing! and Scurrow Enterprises, I really like the art style!

Somewhere out there is the gag? picture of the "Eco K-Cup" that is just a "K-Cup" with 99% of the plastic condom cut off and yet somehow those still don't exist.
I work with The Guy who has somehow decided he has to rinse the machine from one foam cup into another foam cup before discarding both cups and filling a third which can be used only once. Someone somewhere out there is probably pumping the first three gallons of gas on the ground to make sure they don't get any non-premium in their tank.
(Also I brought in a samovar instead of that crap. Samovars are awesome.)

Great article. I could dig a zero waste lifestyle, knowing full well it would take a few years to fully implement that.
Here's Werner Herzog narrating the life of a plastic bag. I highly recommend it.
