The costume in this picture is inspired by the 1970 TV series "UFO", which I've never seen outside of screengrabs on google images. I'm not sure if the show is any good, but you can't go wrong with silver metallic space fashions!

I watched UFO when I was a kid, and enjoyed it immensely. It's a Gerry Anderson production, so it's very much hardware porn. Their vision of a then future 1980 looks great, even if the stories themselves aren't always the greatest. It is available online, if you want to check it out for yourself.
