40k - Leader of the sidewinders
At the behest of
thesphinx I'm posting some of my warhammer stuff.
The leader of the Sidewinders, packing a heavy power axe and the busted leg armor of a fallen Dreadnaught, this nameless character proves he's got more than enough punching power to make any enemy at least think before attempting to charge him.
Standing out against the leader of the Silverbacks with a sturdier build, and unusual weapon.
Will scrap later

The Serpent Sons are loyal, but can sometimes be a bit eccentric. They have an ally in an Eldar group named The Suncatchers, and some of the marines bear decorations upon them that were gifts from them. They have close ties with the Space wolves, often training their terminators there.
Their father chapter is the Salamanders, commissioned and mothered by the Order of the Crowned Ophidion, a Sisters of battle sect. The Serpent Sons are nothing less of genetic games, bearing a darker colored skin, glowing golden eyes, fangs and the keen ability to smell what they call "Maho", dark magic. Which is to say they're witch hunters, bred and trained for exclusively that.
They can differentiate between Eldar, Dark Eldar, Slaanesh, Tzeentch, Weird Boyz, and any other psycher or magic user, just by smell alone.
So they're not necessarily above taking the enemy's weapons and using it against them.
The joke between me and my space wolf playing friend behind this guy was that his original weapon was destroyed by the axe he now wields, so he killed the heretic, and took his weapon, when inquired upon it, he replies "He broke my weapon, I broke his face."
The thing is I wanted to give him an axe but none of the axes I had were.. well... nice looking enough or big enough. So I went with the chaos Termie's axe.
That's the thing, if you look at a lot of my army, parts wise, its scrabbled together bits from everything. Darka Alone is an example of that, with his Chaos bolter pistol, sanguinary legs, space wolf sword, pauldron-less Forgeworld arms and dark angels backpack. This is why this marine is using Dreadnaught leg armor as shoulder plating and why my Deathwatch minifig, who's a Black Templar Apothecary, who has different shoulder plating, sanguinary legs, and templar armor bits, with an arm from a terminator equipped with a Narthecium because every apothecary needs a narthecium.
My entire army is probably going to consist of whatever parts I can get a hold of on Bits n kits, ebay or bits barn.
Personally I think it makes for figures of interest and dynamic posing. Making the Leaders or particular squads look all the more unique.
And thank you! I don't usually try greenstuff, but when I do it looks pretty okay.
