These two characters, Shroud the Hedgheog and Nai'i the Locrun (an alien species) are some of the best fighters in the peacekeeping force known as the Specters that they're part of. As such, responsibility for the more difficult missions often falls on their shoulders, and that can get tiring. A quick rest between fights seems more than warranted.
