Babs and I stayed in Chicago an extra day so we could run around downtown having fun on Monday. But when Monday came, we were both too sick to go downtown. After napping, we decided we felt more or less well enough to at least go to Woodfield Mall. Then Babs's nausea returned in force. That... that wasn't our best idea. Probably a good thing we didn't actually go to Build-a-Bear.

That was my problem with MFF. It's not that spread out so people are compacted on top of one another and its harder to spot people.

I saw Babs but didn't see you at the con. Then again I dodged the "incident" by being elsewhere that night.

I also went shopping (a little) the Monday after, but I went to Water Tower Place. They've got a LEGO Store.

I got sickies at Cons before (Flu at MFF, ten years ago, bronchitis at ConFurence in '97). That's just the -worst-, innit?

I think part of it was this year MFF got hit in what many consider an act of terrorism, cause someone put out powdered chlorine to start gassing up in the 9th floor stairwell of the Hyatt hotel.

I got a cold, Babs got stomach flu. It had nothing to do with the chlorine (although having to evacuate at 1 am in Chicago in December exacerbated it, I'm sure).
