This! This is why I'm still two weeks behind my submissions list!
For those who haven't kept up, a week ago I came back from a (nominally) work trip to Canada, during which I was lucky enough to get a chance to check out Banff and Lake Louise (up in the mountains in Alberta), as well as Niagara Falls (southern Ontario/New York). This is Lake Louise.
Net access during wasn't guaranteed and, being a work thing, browsing FA might've been... inappropriate. So now I'm two weeks behind and struggling (failing!) to catch up. But tomorrow I finally have a whole (well, three quarters) weekend to myself, mwahahahaha!
Kinda pretty, dontcha think?

Ah, you were lucky enough to visit Lake Louise as well, hm? Did you stay at the Chateau? Went there in April some 6 years ago, the lake was still covered in snow...

The Chateau must've cost an arm and a leg. We didn't stay in the area. Five of us (not-small men) crammed into a rented car and set off from Calgary (where the our conference was) one afternoon, ditching that day's organised activity in favour of checking out the mountains. It's not a short drive from Calgary, and somehow we accidentally managed to take the scenic route. We must've driven 400 km that day, and didn't make it back until after 1 am, a bit past what we had planned. Totally worth it, though.
You've got a very beautiful alternative vision of the lake, there.
