So yeah, for most of Vesper's life he's lived in the wilderness, foraging and such, and the only baked goods he's probably ever eaten are breads and one cake that he stole when he was a kid. But his tribe is nomadic so they don't usually stay in one place long enough to create ovens and such for cooking things like waffles.
