At the other end of the process from iron mining are finished slabs of steel from a continuous caster. They are moved using a "slab hauler", an immense truck which drives over a stack of ingots, lifts them, and cruises away at good speed to wherever they need to go.
This slab hauler is at US Steel outside Pittsburgh. Notice the size of the ladder to get into the cab and you appreciate the size of these machines. Notice also the twin engines mounted up top at rear.
