As of yesterday a mobile game that I have been working on with a team of colleagues for the past 2-3 years has finally gone live on the App Store! It's Trot To Trophy, an educational game where you start off as a newly hired ranch hand and work your way up to the point where you can buy your own horses and compete against outlandish rivals to become master of the 3 equine career areas (race horse, show horse, work horse). Go check it out!

While the artwork was done by our art team (I did a couple of UI graphics), I was one of the principle programmers for the game as well as one of the project leads--a huge undertaking but a whole lot of fun! I also came up with a fair number of the 70-something achievement titles (I couldn't help myself, the puns!!). The Tony Chat system, all of the Stables (pictured here), the competitive plowing minigame, and the core system (or engine if you want to call it that) were where I did most of my development work. I also wrote many of the UI elements that appear throughout the game and lots of other boring code stuff that very few of you probably care about. :P The entire project ended up being somewhere in the 100k+ lines of code range, which officially makes it the largest piece of software I've ever worked on.
Anyway, if you are one of those iPeople and want to play a fun little game that has totally legit horse learning going for it I hope you give this a shot! Plus, your guide character is a talking Shetland Pony with a coach's outfit, what else could you possibly need? :P
We don't have this adapted to Android quite yet, but that is our next target. So don't fret, it will be on Android soon enough! Then I'll actually be able to play it, too, ha.
