I've been working on this in my spare time, trying to find my coloring style. This technique requires I put in tones first, and colors afterward. Think I'm going in the right direction? Don't ask where the light is coming from because I lost it a long time ago, I think.

I definitely think you're going in the right direction. Tones and then colors tend to be easier for some people, as it makes it a tad less confusing as to what you're looking at when you do the tones first >///< Personally, I do colors and then the tones, but I've actually been fiddling around with trying it the other way round lately. Lookin good so far~
