Happy Holidays

"It's cold outside this time of year, and it can be so hard to get warm, but it's also so pretty. They decorate their homes trees and even themselves with bright shiny lights and colors against the bright white expanse of snow, like tiny beacons of happiness in the silent hush of winter.

Even if I can see the many lights and hear the happy joined singing I can also smell gingerbread, peanut brittle, and so many other festive treats.

It's so hard not to smile sometimes...

It's like...

I feel like I can almost feel a little bit better...

Like I can just remember the good times...

Before...

And just like that everything seeps back in, like a cold gust of wind against my face reminding me where I am, that I'm alone in the dark looking on at everyone else...

I'm all alone...

It's as simple as that...

But I don't have anyone left to lose...

Here I can bask in the shine of everyone else without growing attatched. I don't have to worry about anyone else in the long run, and no one has to worry about me.

I don't have that responsibility anymore...

I couldn't keep it up anyway...

Typed it up on a whim, pertains to the character in question. Tired too, should probably sleep... hmmm... sleep...

Grey stuff is snow at night, should be a lighter grey, but my tablet has it's colors off so it's hard to tell, that and shading may make it look more like snow rather than something else.

Deleted the lined version to prevent clutter, this one may end up making way for a shaded possibly animated version later...
