Practice piece. I haven't painted anything since I made http://www.furaffinity.net/view/14999930/, which is understandable, seeing as that piece took me two days to finish. I really need to brush up on my skills however, and I think that I might offer up some of these as requests later on. Anyways, I'm not sure I like this one though. It looks slightly bland. Gotta work more on those contrasts.

You are right it does look pretty flat, and I think definitely you could go far with more contrast! :D
But I really like those feathers and the little scar on the beak!
