What they taught me when I was in art school was, "sex sells in a pinch, but quality is what lasts forever." I do really like this one! I love his cute little swords! :-P

That's a good lesson. :3 I'm glad they teach that in school. People around here have to learn that the hard way, but they sometimes never do. I'm no prude, though. I appreciate the sex plenty--it's something separate from the art itself, though, even if it is incorporated beautifully and sensually... ^=^

I absolutely agree in 99% of cases, even masterful artists have a hard time turning sex into something artistic. Art that happens to incorporate sex is possible, but most artists can't pull their audience towards the beauty instead of the smutt. Even those looking at pieces for the artistic skill and value are still thinking, somewhere in their heads, "that's a nice ass." At the end of the day, most of the best sexual pieces are still sex that happen to look really pretty.

P.S. If anyone reads this I hope it's a challenge accepted moment. Because, as much as I like smutt, I would love to see more tasteful, romantic sex scenes.
