Ryu may be able to beat a noraml Spartan, but thats a Spartan Ninja, so he is like a super human version of Ryu lol. Or maybe, thats Ryu in the armor, just an updated version.
Hey, now thats an idea, they should hade that Halo armor to NG2 as a downloadable suit, that would be sweet.

Uhhh, no. For one thing those sword guns are probably the single stupidest weapon ever thought up by man. Vibro blades resonate at extremely high frequencies, making what might've been a nick with a regular blade into a gash and yes they have dampners on the helts to prevent the weapon being jiggled out of the combatants grasp.
I'm actually starting to hate katanas on the ground everyone says they're oh so great and perfect and I'm thinking "Have some pride you mother-fucking Japanophiles! You make me want to drop another two bombs on Japan!" Why can't people have some pride in their own heritage instead of taking from Japan's like everyone else? Japan's an amazing place and I want to visit it sometime, but these kind of people make me want to strap 50 megatons of death to myself when I do it. Me? I'd use a fucking claymore.
Sorry about the sword rant. All my frustration with weeaboos just builds up and eventually gets out in little rants. For me it'd be a tie between the claymore and a battle ax. You know the truly ironic thing is? Claymore for the most part, while they could be used as traditional swords by the skilled, were used as anti-calvary weapons. That big heavy blade could easily demount an armored knight and then the sword's weight and reinforced tip would finish while he was on the ground orrr the sword could be swung into the horse's legs to trip or break them.
Thanks for that info! I did not know that!
And you gave me an idea!
My fursona is a shape-shifter, so why not have my sword be the same way! I mean, you'd have every melee weapon imaginable in just one sword! Like, say, I use the claymore form to knock some guy off his horse, then I change it to an axe to chop his head off.

The shape shifting weapon is an idea I've played with in the past but wasn't restricted by only becoming a weapon. My idea was that the weapon it's self would be a handle that shifted and molded itself to match that of the weapon required and metal parts would be extruded or warped to simply finish it.
Like it turns from a katana to a claymore the handle lengthens and sprouts the guards then the blade thickens, straightens, and becomes a claymore. Why the handle and not the blade? Because holding a claymore blade with a katana hilt puts you off balance where as holding a claymore hilt with a katana blade where it's easier to compensate. Ideally during a duel with these you'd shape shift into weapons of similar size and weight as to n ot throw you off balance long enough for someone to stick a blade in you. Only during respites, would you shift a claymore or a lance.
When these handles are duel wielded, either can shift form to a shield at any time, to throw the opponent off balance.

Well, I follow the rules of magic as they are in my head. Most importantly, the rules of Madness magic. With Madness magic, almost anything is possible. The gun would shoot magic projectiles. The gun itself would be powered by a shard of Obsidian, which is the single most powerful thing on my world of Syrinia.
lol, hey, I feel the same why, yes, you can like all that stuff, but come on, the whole Japan thing is getting out of hand lately. Like I know this one guy who went to my school who sold his bed and just slept on the floor with some kind of sheet under him like in animes, and has those paper walls around it. I'm like ok, I'll stick with my big, comfy bed thank you.
I am a Claymore guy myself to. I like Knights; I think they are way cooler then ninjas and samurais. But that’s just me.
Heck, I'm also not fully a sword fan ether, I am also really into guns, I like games and shows that use both in a good way. (Not just have the hero use a sword and all the bad guys use guns and suck, I mean guns and swords being an important part together.)
But like I said, that’s just me, you can like what you want, it’s all good.

Yeah, I know what you mean about the generic samurai loser with a hero complex character (who is inevitably japanese) killing all the bad guys with guns. He may also deflect bullets with his sword. One bullet may be deflected by pure accident yes, but that's what a clip is for.
Ya, I know, but what I find funny is for some reason if the hero has a sword that means none of the bad guys and shoot for crap. Like I was playing a game ans in one part my character runs up to a group of like 7 guys with guns, all of them shooting right at him, and he running in a straight line, I mean come on, can't one of those guys shoot him?
