Aw, this is really sweet. I suspect there will be all manner of havoc lately, but I love how happy she looks with her new pet and that she can see the good in a creature that, I suspect, most people likely wouldn't think of befriending. The magical lobster thing looks pretty spiffy, too, and I do like the glowing blue eyes and the blue highlights on its shell. I really like the background in this piece, too, and all the little bits of detail scattered around, especially things like the pendant on the wall and the little statue behind the lobster. Most particularly, I like how this has got elements of a modern office, with things like the cubicle walls and pushpins, combined with things like scrolls and wax seals to sort blur the lines between modern day and a more typical fantasy setting to create a really interesting scene, indeed. Beautifully done, and this is definitely one of the most interesting commissions I've seen in some time!
