well hell! anyway this isn't just an old stuffed animal, it means a bit more to me than you'd think. STORY TIME! back in high school i had tons of friends but i never really hung out with them out side of school, and when we graduated, i never really saw them again. a few years later i was at my community collage taking some horticulture class. we were going on a field trip to the Morton Arboretum, and when are class met up on campus with another class that was going, i saw one of my old friends, actually he's probably my all time best friend i've ever had. why did i never got his phone number or email back in school? i'll never know. but i ditched my class and went with his. we had a blast bullshitting and screwing around. when we went back to the entrance at the end of the day we went into the gift shop to see who could find the funniest thing, he found a dinosaur helmet, so he won because i only found this puppet. but i actually bought it to be funny. and i still have it, it's out lived some of my cars and now he's in my Lincoln, and I see my buddy every few weeks to go shooting, or to car shows, or just to get drunk at some bar and quote Jeremy Clarkson from Top Gear

I've got a pink octopus Beanie baby I keep on the dash of my car; I'd bought it years ago as a spur-of-the-moment decision at the Rong Branch restaurant in Julian as a way to distinguish my car from others in a parking lot -- at the time, I owned a '97 Honda Accord wagon in dark green, and four years of Accord all looked essentially the same from the front, and the dark green was one of the more common colors (I found three near where I parked one time, including one wagon, and almost tried to unlock it before I noticed it didn't have a base sticker). I still saw a lot of dark-green Accords in parking lots, but I never saw another one with a pink octopus on the dash, so it worked to distinguish my car.

one of my coworkers has 6 or 7 pokemon stuffed animals on his car's back shelf and it definitely sets it apart. I like driving something that you aren't going to see another one on the road which is why in the summer I try to drive this 1960 Lincoln or my truck. its a chevy s10 which is super common so I've been replacing as many parts as I can with stuff I make from scrap. https://www.furaffinity.net/view/17238056/ (my main account)
