I like cute gentle scenes like this. Is the damaged building and tattered clothes supposed to imply she just grew out of that library? Bit confused since the keywords mention an abandoned village but other than that one side of the library all the buildings look in good condition.

There's no concrete backstory to it that I'm aware of unless Jenora has something more in mind, so I think it can be interpreted either way. c: (I think she is normally that big though~)

No, she didn't just grow out of the building; more like she caught something big trying to get in after the little librarian wolf. Yes, the town is pretty much abandoned, but the wolf didn't want to leave her books all behind.
