A gift for my friend
niven for Christmas!
A small forest is invaded by a legendary with an infection...
I hope you all enjoy, and I would love to hear what you all think! =)
The snow came in from nowhere, the land being coated in a sheet of white as the Pokemon slipped away into burrows for warmth. It was winter, but the snow wasn’t to be coming in for another week which surprised trainers as they dressed up for the cold weather, but Pokemon didn’t have the same comfort. Out in the woods a pair of Pokemon separated after they had aided each other in their attempts to catch fish out of a river, a ninetails and Luxray nodded gratefully towards one another. Snow was just falling as they went their own ways, but they knew something was off in the forest.
Snow was easy to detect when one was a Pokemon as ice types usually moved in with the chilly weather, but this year there was no sign of ice Pokemon yet. The luxray ducked his head low as he slipped beneath brush towards his home, Pokemon were rushing to their homes to escape the cold. Luxray sniffed at the air as he stepped through the cold powder, there was a scent on the air... a breeze dragging the scent of an intruder in their territory. He wanted to go home... but the intruder was a powerful Pokemon, and he had a feeling it was the reason this frost was coming into their territory.
Going to his home the luxray dropped his catch of fish off for dinner later, and started off through the snow. Pokemon became more sparse as he drew closer and closer to the scent, it was obvious to him that all other Pokemon were clearing away to avoid the powerful creature that was invading their small forest. He drew closer to the ground as he drew close to the source of the smell, and treading softly in the snow he stepped out into a wide clearing. The moon was shining from high above in the sky, and sitting down in the center of the clearing was a Suicune. Luxray felt a shiver go down his spine, he’d heard of Suicune from other Pokemon in the area. A legendary Pokemon, one who was supposedly the one to clear water from disease, but this one... it appeared to shine with an odd glow unlike any Pokemon he’d seen before.
Taking another step towards the legendary, Luxray noticed that the Suicune was glistening purple under the moon, and from him a thin fog of white poured off of him which drifted towards the edges of the forest causing a cold breeze. Readying an attack Luxray flinched as the Suicune swung his head right towards him, his eyes glowing blue, and a smile spread across his face. “Luxray, welcome,” he said, his voice filling up the clearing.
“Suicune, what’re you doing in our forest?” Luxray asked, completely aware that small tendrils pulled away from the legendary’s body and prodded at the air as if awaiting a command to attack. “What has happened to you, your body isn’t as pure as stories tell,” he said, hoping that he could distract the legendary while he got in position to attack.
The glistening Suicune looked to the moon above, his body shining with the light reflecting from the moon. “I’m here to spread,” he said, the tendrils moving around more as Luxray drew closer and sparks starting to bounce across his back. “Everything was scared of me though...” Suicune explained, his voice almost hurt.
The air around the legendary was bitterly cold, Luxray could almost feel ice starting to form on his limbs as he drew up his body for a pounce. “You need to leave...” he growled, and then he jumped.
It was utter failure though as soon as his feet left the ground as the tendrils whipped around almost too fast for Luxray to see and he was caught in their embrace, they drew close around him and started to rush down his ears, his throat, even his nostrils. Luxray scrambled to get out of Suicune’s embrace, but it was fruitless as he filled up with the Pokemon’s goo. “I will leave, Luxray. Once you’ve become like me, and can spread our glory,” Suicune said, his eyes glowing blue and he grinned brightly as Luxray’s body started to turn purple and drip just as his own did.
Luxray continued to struggle even as the latex started to pulse through his entire body, his thoughts were on protecting the forest. All of the Pokemon in the forest had worked together to protect their land, and they made sure to keep out invaders that endangered them. The ice types were harmless, and tended to take care of the land as the Pokemon hid in their warm homes, but this one... it was different, the Suicune wanted to change all of them... and make them into creatures of goo. Luxray wanted to resist, he wanted to run away and protect the others, but as his body splashed to the ground goo and started to rise once more, his eyes glowed yellow as he smiled and regained his form. “I... can spread... our glory...” he said, his mind corrupted by the latex.
Suicune chuckled as the Luxray’s own tendrils touched his own. “Good, now go out and spread. The snow will hold for a few days, it shall keep the Pokemon in their homes,” Suicune said, and after the two latex pokemon bowed heads to one another the legendary sprang away in a large bound towards his next spot to infect more Pokemon.

Slipping into his den, Ninetails nibbled on his freshly cooked fish. The snow was thick at the edge of his den, but he had blown some fire to warm up the hole. Outside the moon shined deeply, and yet Ninetails had an odd feeling as he gazed up at it. It had been ten minutes before, Luxray had invited him to catch food, and he had been glad to take the offer as it might become hard to find food besides berries soon. Luxray’s home was closer to the river, but Ninetails lived deeper in the woods.
Laying at the edge of his den he found himself gazing at the edge of the trees, expecting something to come out. The fox couldn’t shake the feeling that something was wrong, his tails kept swatting the walls driving him crazy. “What’s wrong...?” he asked himself, Ninetails wasn’t one to become anxious over nothing, and with the snow coming in heavier he had a dreadful feeling in his gut.
There were some Pokemon running by in an odd panic, and Ninetails pulled himself out of his hole with his eyes glinting red. “What’s wrong?” he asked, and a scared looking Mudkip stopped.
“I... it’s Luxray, something’s wrong with him,” she chirped, and off she went with the other Pokemon.
Turning around with a sharp whip of his head, Ninetails took a deep whiff of the air. There were scents hanging in the air from the Pokemon who had run past, and there was Luxray... but there was something perverse about his scent. Taking off through the forest he pounced around trees and taking care not to trip in the snow, Ninetails followed the scent of his friend until he saw Luxray standing in front of a Tyrantrum. The Tyrantrum was a pretty quiet Pokemon in their forest, he was known to protect the Pokemon against dangers, and right now he looked fearful as he growled down at Luxray. Ninetails slipped into the brush as he watched the encounter, something was wrong with Luxray, it was obvious to see at first glance.
His body glistened and dripped with purple goo, and his eyes glowed an eerie yellow as he smiled up at Tyrantrum. “Tyrantrum, let me teach you,” he said, tendrils starting to slide off of his body.
“Luxray, something’s wrong with you, let us heal you,” Tyrantrum growled, his eyes tracking the tendrils through the air. He reached out to grab the gooey Pokemon, but it was like nothing Ninetails had seen before. Tendrils whipped through the air, and into the gaping jaw of the Tyrantrum.
Ninetails gasped as he watched purple goo fly down the tyrant pokemon’s gullet, and he fell over, his body already starting to turn purple and gooey as Luxray’s eyes snapped to his own position. “Ninetails, come out. I can smell you,” he said, and Ninetails almost ran away.
The fox stepped out, his fur shimmering with snow as he stood across from his friend. “Luxray, what happened to you?” he asked, it was painful to see his friend like this. Purple goo flowed all over his body, and the tendrils slid out once more, and Ninetails was very careful now that he’d seen what they could do to a behemoth like Tyrantrum.
“I’ve been given new powers, Ninetails,” Luxray said, his eyes glowing yellow as he stepped through the snow. “Let me show you,” he said, and the tendrils whipped out, but Ninetails raised Protect in front of him making the tendrils whip away as fast as they came. “Don’t be like that...” Luxray said, his eyes almost looking sad as he whipped the tendrils around Ninetails, but the same result happened as Ninetails raised Protect around himself.
It was a drain on Ninetails as the purple goo proved powerful, smacking against his shield with the strength of a hammer. It seemed to be holding... until a shadow pooled around the fox. “What the...?” he asked, and he gazed up to see the purple mass that was Tyrantrum standing over him. The dinosaur Pokemon’s eyes glowing red as he smiled down at the fox.
“Let me help, Luxray,” he said, his voice eerily as peace as his whole body suddenly came down in a pool of purple goo.
Where Luxray’s tendrils were like hammers, the entirety of Tyrantrum was like a meteor, and Ninetails found his protect breaking and was submerged in purple goo. He tried to hold his breath, but the goo pushed his mouth open letting itself in like an uninvited guest, and though he struggled to swim out it was impossible as his body started to change into the latex. By the time a form pushed out of Tyrantrum’s mass, it was becoming latex just like the two others.
“Don’t... change...” Ninetails gasped, his eyes glowing white as he fell to the ground struggling to stay physical. “Don’t...” he said, looking up at the moon as he felt the powerful force of the latex striking his mind. “Glory...” he muttered, looking up at the moon realizing how glorious it was to be glowing with the light of the moon. “I can spread...” he muttered, splashing into purple goo before reforming as a latex fox. “I can spread,” he said, grinning as Tyrantrum reformed. The trio walked out of the open field, looking for other Pokemon to change, their bodies glowing all the time with the glory of the moon.
