Sorry about the weird symbols where apostrophes should be. I'm not sure how to fix that.

I'm guessing maybe you used a different editor than Wordpad or Notepad and then converted to .txt. The ' you have above in your text file is a stylized apostrophe. Normal or basic text encoding doesn't include that, but instead a "tick" which is the unstylized ' To fix this in Word there should be an option to turn it off somewhere in the settings. The same thing happens with double quotes -> "

And this is a sad read and a description of a place I've been in before.
