Congratulations on a nice shot!
Judging from her appearance (and from you seeming to live in northern Europe) I think she may be an Araniella Cucurbitina or Cucumber Green Spider (Kürbisspinne). We have some similar spiders here in North America, but they aren't as simple and elegant. There is another species (Araniella Opisthographa), that is so similar that it would take an arachnologist to tell the difference, but they live mostly in the British Isles. Both of them are orb-weavers.

Well, northern Europe as opposed to Italy, Portugal and Spain. Compared to Finland, not so much! The Contiguous United States (exclusive of Alaska, Hawaii and possessions) is about 2,660 km, so the climate varies a lot. We have critters living in temperate northern New England that couldn't survive in, say, sub-tropic Florida and Georgia, and vice versa.
