wonderful design! if your looking for patterning might i suggest some sort wavy stripe pattern kind of like the little light ripples you see on the bottom of a crystal clear spring or river it would look neat i think :)

Hey....some people do feathered dragons! We even have one here in Mexico. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quetzalcoatl
I also saw something about feathered dragons in Norse myth. I think they're all over. ;3

My vote is for Quetzalcoatl or Kulkulcan, who was the feathered dragon diety of the Mayans.
