Engine room floor of Liberty Ship "John Brown" shows the cylinders of its triple expansion steam engine. The connecting rods and crankshaft are well below the deckplates. People in the background give an idea of just how big this single engine is.
During a "history cruise" of the Brown you can visit the engine room and see how machinery works and talk to engineers and machinists who keep it going. Tickets are probably $150 now, but it's great educational entertainment and well worth it.
