Drew up Flints head in Photoshop (no pencil sketch) and changed a couple of things. The hair line round his ear and the puffy cheek.
The cheek needs to be rounder and the far cheek needs to be white but that wasnt the emphasis here.
I went a shaded like i have been doing on the last few piccies ive done, but tried blurring some areas and using 2 shades of colour. This is what i got. Those who bother with my scraps, can you tell me if this is better?

im very new to it too. If you want my advice, mess around with it and doodle. Also, type Photoshop Tutorials in DEVIANT ART's search engine and read some of them. They helped me also, of you got friends who know how to use it, ask them for a few tips ^^
