How to explain... http://fc04.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2.....ma-d316yfh.jpg That should do it.
Hello sir, you seem to be confused!
What you are referring to as "double-jointed" is in fact a style of legs referred to as digitigrade!
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digitigrade
As opposed to the other way that legs work called plantigrade!
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plantigrade
When referring to a limb as being "double-jointed" what you are really referencing is something called hyper-mobility!
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyper.....y_%28joints%29
Thank you for your time!

Not sure how to respond to this...
I guess I'll start with "Thanks" for reminding me of the name for the Plantigrade legs... been a while since I had to use that word I forgot about it.
As for Double jointed legs. That is just a term for Digitigrade... Honestly... this is the first time I've heard double jointed been used as a term for "Hyper-mobility".

And I have never heard of Digitigrade legs being referred to as "double-jointed". It doesn't even make sense since there's still the same number of joints, just in a different configuration with less bones.
I have only ever heard of double-jointed as being a reference to hyper-mobility.

"Double Jointed" is a loose term for joints that can bend backwards. Using that term for digitigrade is roughly equivalent to saying "backwards knees", which is a common misconception based on confusing the knee joint with the heel joint. It is not an alternative dialect, it's a use based entirely in misunderstanding.
