Its like every art form, hard at first and gets easier with practice. Something like this is pretty easy for me now - look at my multi-level pieces if you want to see hard ;)

Most hardware stores will have copper sheeting, depending on the thickness you need. If they don't have it, try an art supply store.

You can get blank hipflasks lots of places - try amazon, they have several varieties there.

Yea, most hardware stores will sell the really thin stuff by the roll in the roofing department.

Yea, I was just being lazy really. The camera's display doesn't always give a good indication of whether the shot was good or not, and once I sat down at the computer I didn't feel like getting back up to shoot it again ;)

I think if I can save enough money I may commission some glassware. But don't expect that to happen for a year or so. I am very unemployed :( Stupid back problem =_= I am open for bartering though!!!

have you gone through all the hubbub for financial help yet? it's ridiculous I have to wait until I'm booted from my apartment from non payment before they'll make a decision.

I lost my case years ago. I suppose I could start the process over again and get a lawyer and all that nonsense, but for immigration reasons I have to stay out of the government's eye for at least another year.

Uh OH! Well good luck with that. A friend of mine was fighting that battle a while back. I lost touch with her when we got out of college. She was staying with a student visa for a time, but when graduation came she was fighting to remain. Her mom had to go back to France :( So, lots of luck. Seriously.

Thanks. I'm a citizen, so that's not the concern. But my husband is only a resident, he won't be eligable for citizenship until next year. My taking government support would hurt his case.

I thought if you were married you automatically get citizen status? Passing all the silly tests first of course....

Oh, if only it were that easy. There's a long process just to get residency, and then you have to be a resident for X number of years (depending on various things) and then you apply for citizenship.

Oh I had no idea. I will guess that Anne is only a resident too then :( She just moved from Norway a year ago I think with her husband, who is from here in Maine.
