Based on a stance from a Nintendo promo poster for Explorers of Sky.
I drew this traditionally half a year ago with pencil and paper, scanned it, then added basic colours to it in Photoshop.
Decided I'd revisit it and attempt to fix up the lines, make the colours stand out a bit more, add shading and highlights and fix some of the problems I had with incorrect anatomy and body proportions from before.
Shinx is my favourite Pokémon, I love him very much!
Going to work on drawing him a bit more so I can develop my own style for him.

Shading comes with practice and time. You just have to play around with things and see what works!
Took me a while to get the right colours, and even still the shading in this picture is slightly off and can be improved.
Start with simple stuff and work your way from there. That's what I did at least :3
