Anyone on FA for long while knows I am a blade lover. Meet my news addition I got for Christmas to replace the one I accidentaly lost at fangcon:
Otanashu Noh Ken: The Short Sword. Is a blade designed by CRKT for SOCOM by their request. Making this a tactical blade. Maker: James Willams wanted to put the cutting power of a Katana into a folding blade... And he succeeded! This blade is 10.1 inches long when opened, and is beyond words sharp. It is traditional Katana sharp! It feels so good in my paw because of how big it is, and my paws being big... I wear a size 15 ring. And with a deep clip you almost can't see it in the pocket. So i loves me new knife.
I will probably replace my Triumph again... For the fifth time... But I am happy to have picked up this blade!
THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE VIDEO GAME!! THIS IS A REAL THING NOT A GAME!!!
Controller is for size reference thats all.

Almost looks like a tactical blade, judging from the blade lock and the ...I never rmember the name of that piece, the blade lift?
Hope it serves you well, and you're able to use it (just hopefully not on someone) nothing more insulting to a tool, then not using it

It is a Tactical. I thought I put that in there. And a place or place on the blade?
Aye. I always care a blade on me. They are my friends, and I'd rather have a blade on me, then not. Because in a situation where you could of used one to save your life? Cut something, or save someone else? Plus this type of blade is a good Intimidation factor to it. SO that alone will hopefully never call for its use.

Oh I'm well aware of the usefulness of a knife, I still have my combat knife from Iraq. Always have my multi tool on me when I leave the house as well, one blade isnt always enough. My apologies for the mistake on your knife there, I thought the blade was a lift and lock, not, swing lock. Still, beastly looking and oddly enough street legal in Texas. My combat knife isn't sadly (I modified the tip to have a back edge)
Still, it's one hell of a piece, I looked up the price for one. Holy Hecate! Someone treasures you

Round file. They make those serration on purropse that way for a extra bite. Normal whetstone for the rest of the blade. And got to find a good file the works into those rounded serrations. One of my ex's use to sharpen my blades. She had a pain in the ass with the serration on thr Triumph, and that it was a extreme tanto tip.
I recall the extra bite. Sgt. Haugg, biggest guy in my unit walked around with a modified kaybar. That seration was deep. So when he used it, it got stuck (bone) I wont go into the gory detail, knife was reclaimed and I had to spend twelve hours total to get his damned serrations shallow enough that you didn't need a dremel to sharpen then >.<
Well didn't have a proper grinding wheel, so I had to do it with a whet stone and go around the edge on both sides, an equal number of times >.<;
Needless to say, I told Haugg, this "Next time you fuck up a good knife like this, I'm gonna stab you, with it's replacement!" Needless to say, he never screwed up another combat knife since

Good god. Love and respect your weapon. Never go destroying it 'because I wanna show off'. No..... All the knives he replaces [the triumph series] were used as day carry and utility... And even then never were they misstreated. This blade won't be the utility knife just because of its purpose and make. I have a Colt knife for that, but still... Never disrespect any weapon.even if its a damn Swiss Army Utility.
Haugg was aiming for intimidation. Iraqi's aren't intimidated by fire arms. So pointing a rifle to them was pretty much an every day thing. However, dying by an enemies blade. You'd become their slave in the afterlife. They're terrified of knifes, and swords. Hence why he cut such deep freaking serrations into the blade base.
That is one hell of a knife you got there bud!
I've got myself a knife as pretty as that one, except ot as nice and functional. Its double bladed and it comes in handy when working the warehouse and living in the woods. Thing saved me more times than I can imagine haha. (not life wise of course, just tool wise)

definitely beats carrying around a gun for protection, not to mention it actually requires effort and a higher level of skill to use properly. Nothing against gun of course since the knife I carry is made by the very company that makes guns*, plus the exception for those situations where you may need more than a knife in the woods and such for protection (like a bear attack or mountain lion)

I've had it well over a year now, and it hasn't let me down. the black on some of the parts has started to fade with wear, but that is expected. The Blade itself. Is amazing I take it to get professional sharpened, and they always love seeing it come in cause I treat it with such respect. They refused to sharpen it the first time cause it was still too sharp, and that was 8 months after I had it.
