True story.. a week before I was supposed to go to Anthrocon, the episode of CSI aired.. and not only did my mom and dad see it.. but my sister and her husband saw it (they were staying with us at the time.) ... oy. But they didn't say anything to me after the episode aired tho.. so.. yah.

I plan on letting them know about any of my furry stuff until I show up on their doorstep after the bizarre genetic surgery that makes me into a real furry. Boy, will that make for an akward Thanksgiving.

Yeah. There's very few positive stereotypes for Furry.
You can try pointing out the charity stuff that AC does, that Furcons are in general considered by many industry guys to be fun and worth visiting - AC, especially sees some of the previous GOHs come back again just for the fun.
