Horseradish Cream
This lovely, creamy sauce is a traditional side with prime rib and roast beef, as well as some types of fish. You can adjust the heat by adjusting the amount of Prepared Horseradish used in it.
This makes use of Vrghr's Prepared Horseradish basics recipe found here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/15319097/
Vrghr kicked up the traditional horseradish + sour cream version of this, with a bit of mayo for extra creaminess, and a touch of Garlic Garni and Dijon Mustard for more complexity.
An easy recipe to make, but be sure to give it enough time to rest in your refrigerator for a bit, to allow the flavors to meld.
Galic Garni is a delicious spice mix heavily featuring garlic, from the Gilroy Garlic Festival. You can find it on line here: http://www.garlicfestival.com
Ingredients
1-2 Tbs Prepared Horseradish (Adjust according to your "heat" preference)
2 Tbs Mayonnaise (not salad dressing)
2 Tbs Sour Cream
1-2 tsp Lemon Juice
1-2 tsp Dijon Mustard
1 heaping tsp Garlic Garni or Granulated Garlic
Directions:
Horseradish varies in potency. Taste and adjust the amounts per your preference. Remember; the horseradish flavor will become more prominent as it rests in the refrigerator!
Combine all ingredients in a small bowl and whisk together thoroughly.
Transfer to a small sealed jar or container and refrigerate for an hour or overnight for flavors to combine.
