Another sign of life.
Next to playing in a Dark Heresy campaign, I'm also currently mastering one, which came about somewhat unexpected, but I improvised well enough to make it work.
This here is currently our setting for the campaign, named unimaginatively Hive 8 for our first session, which was thought up in ~an hour of prep time XD after being given some time until our next session, I fleshed the scenario out somewhat, creating this habitat of humanity on the Hive world of Cydonia.
For those privy of the 40k universe, this hive's structure is somewhat unusual in that it itself houses most of the habitats, while the manufactora lie in the outskirts around it.
This is largely due to the massive space port and accompanying storage facilities housed in the lower levels of the hive.
The social structure is still the same as ever though. The higher up you go, the more expensive your life becomes, until you might have enough money and connections to live with the noble family of the von Mechetals and the Adeptus Mechanicus on the top levels and the gardens of Palisthene, the massive floating island that hangs above spire beta as a testament to the might of the Machine God.
I've since thought up a lot of stuff to the campaign, but so far the players have mostly taken an entirely different direction than I had anticipated for the sessions, as those with mastering expertise among you will know, is pretty much always the case XD
Apart from that, making pretty good progress on both the currently primary comic projects (Resurgence 2 and a crossover) and keeping the hand lose with whatever I find to fancy at the moment to calm down a bit.
The last three weeks at the store were hellishly tiring with christmas customers and the move of the store, so you'll have to excuse my recuperating a bit.

Large parts of it, yes. The Mechanicus of Hive 8 are about as jealously secretive as anywhere else, but they nevertheless don't forget the fact that their creations are meant to serve the fleshling population of the Imperium, so they rent out the space on the Island to the highest bidders.
I play an Arbitress in our first campaign, a pseudo-guardsman as a secondary support character and in the campaign we've started to bridge while our GM is gone, I play a Tech Priest :3
The campaign this Hive is from I master, so I literally play the world, instead of a single character
