His shineyness reminds me soooo much of my own creations. I bet you if I turned this black and white it's be extremely comparable.

My god. There is so much to take in and appreciate here with art like this. Mastery of illustrating organic environments, clothing, armor, weapons, and than of course characters and anatomy.
Everything around the subject is rich, lively, green, soft, and looks so fresh. From small weeds and flower plants along the banks, the moss covering the rocks, and the trees filling up the sky and popping out from higher on the river bank, it all comes together flawlessly. It's a beautiful looking world the subject is in.
Than the clothing and armor. Beyond being a functional design, it just looks awesome. The folding of the cape, the fitting of the armor scales, and the pads the rest in are without error. Than the lighting and shadows really laying on the subject and give him a lot more depth and from. Even the design of it as well. Looks maybe like some type of roman inspired armor with a mix of something else. The cape... not so sure, but the clasp (or what ever it's called) holding the cape together is a real beaut, and ads more to overall look and feel to the character.
Lastly, the subject himself. A great pose, realistic and well balanced anatomy with an amazing design and texture. He is amazing to look at.
Like I said, there is so much to take in and appreciate in a piece like this. Thank you for sharing it.
