She looks kind of Mexican. And 80s. Really 80s. I know the AKs aren't really correct, and that's shameful because I have several at my house that I could have used for references.

Ooh, a challenge...

Would it be the coloration of the magazine? All the pics I've seen show the magazine being the same color as the stock. Or is it something more technical?

Nah, the iron sights and the receiver are lacking in detail, as well as the stocks. They have those polymer magazines that look like that on some of the AK 74s.
