A slap/dash job of a possible decal I drawn on the computer a good time ago. It's supposed to be a panther head with a lincoln symbol on its forehead because there is such thing as a 'Panther Edition' Lincoln (Mark VIII).

But I had that Lincoln Mark VII for a year now, had a Mark VIII for about a month but it was stolen (and still MIA) and house broke into twice. Anyhow, I wished to GOD I could find a S12 in person, they're completely extinct around here. I mean nada, nothing, nowhere around -.-

nice design. this could woprk well as a cut-out decal. although fine structures can be tricky, and they tend to shrink under the sun.
your live situation is still the same? and they can't even leave your privacy alone? aww shucks. I hope they were easy on your belongings. intrusions into one's home sweet home can have a devastating impact on self-esteem and such.
I hope you two are okay. good luck on finding another car, too. :)
Lincoln Mk VIII Panther Edition? did that one come with a Cougar engine, or something?

Situation is better actually, more singled out and not a surprise every week. Just have issues with crack heads and bored 'junior gangster' teenagers who walk through this neighborhood at night who seem to pick out anyone they *think* have lots of pricey stuff in their homes. Break-ins around here died down when school started >8/
Anyhow, only thing I saw about it online was one on Cardomain.com, its (don't quote me on this) suppose to have a carriage top, black interior and black body with emblems on the fender with a gold panther on it. Below the panther it says "Panther edition". But aside from all that, the car has the same engine as all those big fords had those days, that 4.6 engine they slapped in darn near EVERYTHING. BUT in the Mark VIII series its slightly faster than say the cougar/thunderbird. Cougar/Thunderbird has 200hp, whereas the Mark has 280. Nothing great compared to modern machines, but there IS a BIG difference in take off >8)

so all the wannabee gangstas are back to school? reminds me of a tale of someone stealing car stereos at Porsche's test facility, until they had to can some people for economy slowdown, and the stealings suddenly stopped... 9.9
that Lincoln version is a rare sight in middle europe. I have a feeling they were never regularly offered here, although a large Ford dealer around here offers all things US Ford... for a price. :) a golden panther emblem? maybe I should inquire about it's availability. sounds as awesomely looking as the lion's head-emblem Peugeot used to sport during the 60's.
nice videos. :) nothing beats cubic inches... XD
that engine seems to be the same kind of standard engine like the old 5.0 wich was found everywhere, like a former-army LTD from, dunno, '84? 285 HP DIN, not bad for an intermediate sedan. :)

Ya know that's a good question, why did Ford axed the 5.0 around here? If its not a 4.6 then it JUMPS to 5.7, never in between. Weird. I've seen the panther emblem on Ebay some time back, its a side profile of a black panther similar to the old Cougar emblem (if not the same but different colors). Far as the Mark VIII, there *was* to be a Mark 9 and Mark 10, but they never went pass concept stage. They looked like that last tiny Thunderchicken, I mean Thunderbird that came out recently a few years back. It (the Mark 9 & 10) looked like itty bitty little cars as concept-cars, one of which didn't even have the Mark 'hump' in the trunk >=/

oh, that little makeshift '57-rehashed concept? it looks unfinished to me, and I can hardly cough up the money to integrate a model into my collection. although there are a few very good ones out there...
a Lincoln without the hump? impossible, I say! some concepts should better stay such. :P
hm, when did that hump come up? must have been somewhen around the early 50ies... SIKU had a nice,, low-riding model of the MK III from '69, probably. I don't know if those models were sold in USA, but with a little luck one can find one at a flea market.
