What happened next went by rather fast. one moment, Sekra still tried to calm the tempers of the advancing heroines down in hopes of avoiding a fight, the next moment the crystal hanging from his belt began to activate. vibrating, shifting and moving about as though it had come to life, the crystal began to glow in an intense purple light. Sekra felt raw and unimaginable power radiate from it. for a moment, all eyes were fixed on the crystal.
then it suddenly shot off into the darkness of another alley, only to scale a wall and up a building. gritting his teeth and growling, Sekra immediately charged after it while the four heroines hesitated for a moment, startled by the sudden change of events. it didn't take any of them long to snap out of it though and immediately chased after the lizard and crystal in return. the new chase didn't last long due to all of them just scaling a building as quick as they could. up on the roof, Sekra found himself quickly surrounded by the heroines once more, eying him warily. the lizard however paid them no mind, his gaze locked onto another figure. slowly and carefully, the gaze of the heroines followed his.
there he was, standing on top of the next door roof, glowing crystal in hand. his armor looked different than last time they met. much more modern and made of materials that were unfamiliar to Sekra. it still bore the sinister design and dark colouring to fit its owners sneer and hate filled gaze. "Marius..." Sekra growled while the hooded eagle in question smiled coldly, holding the crystal in his hand like a trophy. "why hello there, Sekra. long time no see. looking for this?" he said, waving the crystal around. "well i'm afraid i'll have to take that back. Lady Thalestris and me, we've got big plans with this little thing. can't have a ragtag band of filthy peasants like you lot running off with it."
unlike Sek-Raktaa, the heroines didn't know who this eagle was. however, the hateful gaze, the vicious sneer, the arrogance radiating from it and the way in which they were just insulted... well, any of the four knew trouble when they saw it and Marius was radiating the stuff.
"so with that being said, i believe i'll be taking this back to the fair lady. but don't worry, i'll be leaving you with a little parting gift." another cold smile appeared on his face. one that could chill even the most battle hardened of warriors. the crystal glowed again, shortly followed by a light shooting out of it. the light collected in midair, forming a vortex of swirling purple energy. all of them knew that this was bad but only Sekra knew what it was exactly. a portal into another realm. movement could be seen as soon as the portal reached a proper sized and slowly but surly, the first creatures began to emerge.
Sekra had to admit, he was impressed by the courage and determination he saw on the faces of these four heroines. many others would have turned and fled by the sight, leaving him to deal with it alone. not these four. all of them dropped into battle ready stances, waiting for a fight that was inevitably. steeling himself, he reached for the hilt of his sword and slowly drew the blade, his gaze fixed on the portal and the creatures emerging from it. "do you really think that this is going to stop me?" he asked simply to which Marius merely smiled "no" the eagle replied as a matter of fact. the light vanished and the crystal's glow diminished again as the portal stabilised on its own. "but it's going to keep you busy. long enough anyways." he smiled again "after all, you wouldn't ever let something bad happen to innocents if you could help it." the eagle snorted and secured the crystal on his belt. "though i would prefer to deal with you myself, i'm not going to keep the good lady waiting any longer." his vicious gaze fell upon the group beneath him. "do try to have fun" he sneered, turned and was gone, leaving the group behind...
