Thank you :) It was a little sketchbook drawing that I still like. Her hair is actually meant to resemble gohei paper. It's something used in the Shinto religion. If you do a google search on gohei you should find it.

I'm inspired by a lot of things: Music, mythologies/religions, ancient cultures, animals, prehistoric life, video games and movies I like... Basically the more you see, learn and absorb into yourself the larger your creative idea pool will be. Looking at other artists' work is very educational as far as seeing how other people draw and execute techniques but I would advise against too much copying of other artists' ideas. Learning how to draw and the technical aspect of making good art is something you can learn with your brain but your creativity and vision come from your heart.
